What’s different?

Paperpile remains straightforward and easy to use. We’ve modernized and streamlined the user interface, but you should feel right at home.

We suggest you try it out and see for yourself. We've also put together an overview of all UI changes.


What’s the timeline for the transition?

Important: The legacy version of Paperpile relies on the old Chrome extension system, which will be turned off in Chrome’s upcoming version 129. It’s therefore not possible to switch back to the legacy version of Paperpile after September 5th.

During this transition period, Chrome will show warnings about our extension “being not supported soon.” This can be safely ignored as we will update our extension until September 11. We have deliberately chosen to keep the old version around for backward compatibility until now.
