<aside> 🚀 **In summer 2024, we will release a completely rewritten version of Paperpile’s web app and browser extension.

It will remain the Paperpile you know but we’ll add many new key features and hundreds of small improvements.**

All accounts will be switched to the new Paperpile version by September 5th, 2024.

Important: The legacy version of Paperpile relies on the old Chrome extension system, which will be turned off in Chrome’s upcoming version 129. It’s therefore not possible to switch back to the legacy version of Paperpile after September 5th.

During this transition period, Chrome will show warnings about our extension “being not supported soon.” This can be safely ignored as we will update our extension until September 11. We have deliberately chosen to keep the old version around for backward compatibility until now.
